USA HOCKEY & MN HOCKEY REQUIREMENTS FOR TEAM MANAGERS (All Levels)

Welcome managers to YOUR page. Information important to your team duties will be on this page. Check back often. Thanks for volunteering and have a great season!! There are a few things required to be eligible for designation as a team manager. Please follow the steps below to get started.

All Team Managers

  • Meet with coach(es) to determine the seasons’ expectations
  • Communicate with weekly emails to your team with upcoming weeks events. Suggestion is to send out every Sunday evening. Communication should ONLY be sent through the Team Page on Crossbar.
  • Schedule a minimum of one (1) "Warriors Gives Back" event. This is meant for the skaters to do one volunteer event during the hockey season. It does not need to be in our community but is always appreciated.
  • Social Media - If you have a great photo of a game, tournament, or team event please send to the social media contact at wsphhockeyphotos@gmail.com *pictures will need to meet social media guidelines to be posted.
  • Team “Webmaster” - ensure that team page is up to date with:
  • Any schedule changes and/or updates
  • Player information, jersey numbers, etc.


Travel Managers

  • Parent Meeting - Schedule w/wo coaches
  • Assist team Locker Room Monitors (LRM), and create a Google Calendar to schedule locker room coverage
  • Coaches do not do LRM on game days. Further information in LRM Section 
  • Uniforms - Distribute at beginning of season and collect at end of season
  • Team iPad - GameSheet Code will be provided to you for scoring once provided by D8
  • Gamesheet
  • D8 Gamesheet 101
  • Slush Fund - Collect/Determine for your team.
  • Game Day Needs - Assign or create sign up for families (i.e. game clock, iPad (GameSheets) and penalty box)
  • Tournaments
  • Block hotel rooms, if necessary
  • Reach out to tournament contact to make sure you are added for any communication sent out
  • Based on game times, possibly schedule team dinner/outing
  • Reschedule/Change of Ice Time
  • Scrimmages Scheduling - Discuss with coaches
  • Payment of Referees - D8 ref fees

Mite Managers

  • Parent Meeting - Schedule, coach(es) should attend
  • Team events based on what works best for your team. Considering going to one of our sponsoring restaurants: BLVD Tavern, Carbone’s (WSP), Tappers (utilize their upstairs room), Applebee’s (WSP)
  • Uniforms - Mites get to keep their jerseys! Determine with your head coach if you would like names placed on the jerseys. If yes, check sizes with kids, assign numbers, then send to a vendor of your choice to complete. Once returned then hand out jerseys.
  • Jamboree’s have been scheduled or will be scheduled by the Mite Director.  
  • Mite 1 and 2 - One (1) tournament is paid for by the Association
  • Mite 3’s - Two (2) tournaments are paid for by the Association

*Additional Tournaments/Jamborees MUST be approved by Mite Director prior to sign up and are paid for out-of-pocket by the team.

  • Schedule Changes - Wanting to cancel, change or add ice time? All requests/updates must be sent to Ice Schedulers to check availability. See Reschedule/Change of Ice Time.
