Responsibilities
Coaches are responsible for the on-ice development of the players in our Hockey Association. Depending on experience and training some coaches find it beneficial to learn as an Assistant Coach.
Team Managers are responsible for helping with Off Ice Scheduling of Scrimmages, Tournament Activities, and Team Building Events.
Locker Room Monitors are responsible for ensure the safety of our athletes under SafeSport rules.
Dibs Credit
Coaches, Managers, and Locker Room Monitors are all given Dibs Credit hours accrued for the season. Dibs hours verify based on position.
Please note that only Coaches, Managers, and LRM’s that are rostered with the team by the corresponding Director (Boys, Girls, and Mites) will receive Dibs credit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I sign up for more than one team or position?
Yes. Many volunteers serve on multiple teams or in different roles, such as managing one team and coaching another. Our goal is to create a positive, well-supported experience for every player, and we welcome volunteers who help make that possible.
What levels need Locker Room Monitors?
Locker Room Monitors are required for teams at the Squirt/U10 level and above. Mini Mite and Mite team monitors are not required or assigned due to the number of parents already assisting players before and after sessions.
What levels need Coaches and Team Managers?
Coaches (Head and Assistant): Opportunities are available at all levels. Level Directors will assign or hire coaches for teams from Mini Mites through Bantams.
Team Managers: Needed for teams from Mite 1 through Bantams. These are volunteer positions typically filled by parents of players on the team.
